PDF Champ Launches Full In-Browser PDF Editing Workspace, Combining Annotation, Organization, and Page Management in One Tool

PDF Champ has launched a browser-based PDF editing workspace that combines a broad selection of document editing functions in one interface, removing the need to switch between different tools for basic annotation and page-level work. The workspace opens directly in the browser, with no upload to an external server and no account required.

Many single-use PDF tools can do one or two things, for example rotate or add a watermark, but PDF Champ’s editor combines page reordering, deletion, rotation, and extraction with the annotation layer which includes text placement, highlighting, freehand drawing, shape tools, image insertion, and signature placement. The same workspace also features watermarking, page numbering, and metadata editing, with a live preview showing changes on the canvas before anything is downloaded.

Some of its key features are:
• Drag and drop page rearrangement, multi-select and per-page rotation or deletion
• Text, highlight, freehand drawing and shape annotation tools with adjustable line weight and font size.
• Draggable, resizable overlays for placing image and signature
• Embedded watermarking, page numbering and metadata editing, upon download
• All processing is done locally so files are never sent anywhere else.

"People often need to do more than one thing to a PDF at a time. Maybe it is a page turned the wrong way, a note added, a watermark before it goes out,” said a spokesperson for PDF Champ. "We didn’t want to send someone through five different tools, so we built a workspace where they can do it all in one pass.”

The editor does not currently support in-place editing of existing text, which the tool clarifies is a limitation of browser-based rendering rather than a planned feature gap; instead, new text is added as an overlay that is flattened into the document on download. There is no password protection in the browser version either. PDF Champ’s desktop application for Windows and Mac is available for users who need either capability or want to incorporate encryption or batch edits into a larger workflow.
The Edit PDF workspace now forms part of the broader PDF Champ collection of more than 20 free browser-based document organisation, conversion and security tools.
