For a better life, her family officially migrated from Colombia. Vanessa rapidly picked up the entrepreneur mindset from her parents who would travel from store to store with Vanessa as her mother sold garments and her father worked in a warehouse producing the clothing. Vanessa then started murals and commissions for family and friends. When she was 17 years old, she married and gave birth to her first son. Her family established VKV Corp in 2010 as a cleaning service for live events and film shoots. She got to know a lot of well-known musicians and artists and finally appeared in a few films and television shows, such as Graceland and War Dogs. Before she turned 23, she had two more children as her business and her love expanded. Years later, musician friend Shaun Peezy invited #MiamiVybe305 to paint in his music video Getting to the money. She painted Nipsey Hussle with the quote The highest human act is to inspire, this was a quote #NipseyHussle lived by. She immediately came to the realization after her following started growing on social media after painting Nipsey, that she could inspire people of all ages with her work and change people's lives with her art. The Esquina de Abuela Charity then asked her to paint at Comstock Elementary in 2020. While painting the elementary school she was subsequently asked to paint a nearby daycare facility.
