Placement Process at AGC

Amritsar Group of Colleges has a centralized placement process. Companies can employ students from any course of the institute through two routes facilitated by the college:
On-Campus Placements
Such types of placement or recruitment activities are held inside the campus of the college or institute you are studying in. AGC invites the best companies which have official partnerships with the college, to come and interview students to gauge their potential as future employees. Companies use their own form of the interview process. After the interview is conducted, the companies make selections, and sometimes even offer jobs and good salary figures.
Off-Campus Placement
This is the best option where a student as an individual seeks employment on his own. It is completely up to him to get placed in a company once finished with his education. This takes a lot of effort but with this, the student is a lot more in control of his employment. Many students resort to this type of placement after they've failed to get an on-campus placement. Sometimes, students may get help from their college placement cell, but this help comes in the form of only providing contacts.

Sometimes, companies extend a pre-placement offer to students before the on-campus placement which is considered as a job offer. These offers may be made on the basis of internships/ training/ projects undertaken by the students in the said company.
